roblox is better than minecraft

minecraft

• "one time purchase" because minecraft has very little expenses; small team, only needs to operate one server et cetera; also notch ripped off people who bought in during alpha (such as myself) by claiming we'd have free access to all versions when that wasn't the case at all
  
• game is hardly as deep as people say it is; walk around and break blocks and shit. it's pretty boring and gets old fast
  
• not as much as a timesink as it used to be

• lazy devs, especially in the case of notch who had more vacation days than he had work days; and most of the stuff he did was just minor patching. almost all of the work is piled onto jeb

• need bloated plugins to make the game even remotely playable for more than an hour or two
  
• community can't get over graphics; loves to dickwave their plugin-loaded games and say MINESHIT IS BETTER THAN CRYSIS IN GRAFXX BEST GAME EVER MADEeEEE!! and then when someone points out how it's just a bunch of cubes they go all GRAPHICS DONT MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• game is a very complex environment; once you actually start to dig into the core concepts of it it's limitless
  
• community is horrible but unlike minecraft you can easily filter them out with a couple modifications to your profile (just turn on supersafe chat)
  
• in development since 1995, has a long history and a lot of great old games still stand (eg motha fucking ultimate paintball)
  
• developed in i think C++, which is certainly a step up from java
  
• lately the graphics are sexy, especially with things like shadows
  
• pretty tight administration (considering how it's a KIDS GAME), although minecraft kiddies keep flipping shit when the moderators don't do an A+++ job because they're a staff of like 20 dealing with a community of like 20 million
  
• digital currency faggotry to keep you busy, virtual item dickwaving fun
  
• some of the staff members are actually pretty cool, in particular MDB and FFJosh
  
• subscription based because roblox needs money to keep servers afloat you stupid fucks, they aren't "greedy" at all (they're barely even cutting black)
