yeah, they spend as much resources as they can to try and trash AMD for anything they can get their hands on, like this one time they made a huge fuss about one of their gpus being NOISY AS FUCk when in reality if you had it in a case the most it would be is a bit of a light hum under loadslamjamsk8r wrote:haha oh wowammy wrote:tomshardware literally gets paid by intel to give them good reviews and biased benchmarks
there's no evidence that they're being PAID for it (although the bias is pretty obvious) but since motherboards.org and a few other sites came out to say intel had been paying them to bias (or attempted to) it's safe to assume tomshardware is the same case

pretty much every review website is biased and sometimes they're hilariously bad
back in the 90s when AMD and Cyrix were pumping out superior Intel CPUs they would push bullshit like "INTEL IS THE ONLY STABLE PROCESSOR" and that was where the myth that Intel makes the most stable products came from I think

companies will seriously pay you to go on forums and troll threads about a rival company and promote their own and nintendo is known for paying huge $ to gamespot and others to give their shit good reviews (how the fuck do you think they make their money to keep servers afloat? protip ad revenue is pocket change)
for all you know i could be a man hired by Novel who gets paid to promote SLES & AMD (although in reality im just a man who loves software freedoms)
which is why i take the easy route and don't believe anything anyone says on the internet
you can probably assume most AMD-biased opinions aren't being comercially promoted by AMD anyways since they don't have the dosh to do that kind of bacterial shit (plus they aren't assholes most of the time like a majority of gamerĀ® oriented companies are) though
