person 2: oh yes i've had this problem i fixed it back in 4.02 for Ubuntu but I'll assume the same fix applies for the latest version of Debian here u go

that's only really on shitfests like forums.debian.net which is mostly a huge "FUCK UBUNTU" circlejerk and trolls trolling trolls

from what i've seen the best places are ubuntuforums, opensuse forums and archforums is okay if you're able to tolerate a ton of horrible aspies with pony/anime avatars who give rediculously convoluted replies and outright try to make things as complicated as possible because that's the ARCH way of doing things

they also ban you if you admit to using any OS except arch

yeah the newbie linux forums like ubuntuforums or CBF are best because of how detailed they are in their explanations and they dont act like enormous assholes like forums.debian.net or archforums
