so sonics 1 and 2 are getting a remake

it's by the same guy who did the sonic cd remake in 2011

appearently it's getting some new versions of the songs ( which are optional i believe ), a time attack mode, framerate boosts with a widescreen display all while using the retro engine ( which i would love to use if i had any knowledge of programming shit in vidya games )

sonic 1 sonic's also getting a spin dash so it seems

these two games are gonna be out by sometime this spring ( mid-late april seems most likely to me ) and it's for androids and iphones/ipads/ipod touches for 3 dollars

if you have the emulated iOS version of both you'll get an update to these new versions

if anything sega wanted to get the guy to do it

widescreen and touch screen controls is not by any means an incentive to buy it over the original cartridges

touch control on a sonikku game would fucking suck

so far it's only sonic 1, in japan for now and for 600¥ which is like 6 dollars overseas i think

and apparently from the guys at sonic retro this isn't the 2011 sonic cd guy's port

sounds neat but it feels like it's just pandering off to the nostalgia crowd, especially with "CRT mode"

might give it a spin
