Was going over the Bronycon schedule to figure out which date I'm going and there's a panel literally called "Friendship is Manly". Someone literally spent a year creating a thesis on how bronies have "helped" redefine masculinity. I'm tempted to go but I have no idea if I'd keep my giggles down.

We will present some new (just analyzed) data which show how this choice maybe influenced by a fan’s level of identity formation, the function the fandom serves in the fan’s life, and where they find ‘meaning’ in life.”

I’m going to the con because a friend is paying, but holy heck I’m terrified of what I’ll come across.
